Durga Temple has various names Durga Kund Mandir, Durga Mata Mandir, and Durga Mai Mandir. This temple is very famous in India and the public heart. The temple is situated in Durga Kund at Varanasi city. World-famous Varanasi is the oldest and a holy city. History of the Temple
Durga Temple constructed by Rani Bhabani in the 18th century and Rani Bhabani was the queen of Nathore. As the name itself suggests, the Durga temple is dedicated to Goddess Durga Mata. As the public according, to the temple Kund was directly connected earlier to the Ganga river. According to the elderly Indian people, the icon of the goddess Durga Mata was not made by any person. But the icon of Durga Mata has appeared on its own in the temple.
