Know About “Who is Kaal Bhairav”?
Bhairav is not a name, it is God. Bhairav we call Kaal Bhairav. This god has many powers and these powers have the capability to destroy anyone. Because this god is a form of the Hindu God Shiv.
Once, the Hindu God Brahma and Vishnu were fighting over who has more power. Brahma says to Vishnu “I have all power of the universe and I created all things that you see”. Vishnu says “I protect all things of this universe and no one has more power compared to me”.
They fighting for a very long time. After their fight, Lord Shiv arrives at a divine light that has a unique power. After that, Lord Brahma became very angry, and his 5th head began to see that light with angry eyes. Then Lord Shiv produced to this god on seeing this. He destroyed the 5th head of Lord Brahma. The 5th head of Lord Brahma gets in the hand.
Lord Shiv told to this god that you have committed Brahmahatya, which a big sin. To get rid of this sin, you have to do penance by staying in Kashi. Shiv blessed this god that you have to protect the Kashi city. Yamraj also takes a permit from you before taking any life after he gets a permit then he can take the life of anyone.
This god settled in Kashi forever. The place where this god is inhabited is called the “Kapal Mochan Tirtha”. this god is the king of the gods. There are also gods of ghosts, vampires, and other magical creatures. In many mythologies, it is the God who subdue the Kaal.
Anyone who wants to come into the universe, it is must get the permit of this god.
Know about Kaal Bhairav temple
This temple is much older than other temples and it is a holy temple where the public gets rid of their sins. The temple is far away from Varanasi Cantt near about 5 km. On Sunday and Tuesday, the public comes for baba darshan. The Aarti of this temple is sweet full and the sound of Ghanta, Damru, and Nagada is the lovely sounds. This God loves wine and pan. His devotees offer him wine and pan. Some devotees come to this temple to get relief from ghosts and vampires. Devotees definitely get relief from ghosts and vampires. In this temple, devotees get the black thread and we call us “GANDA”. This black thread gives us a feel which makes us fear-free.
The God idol is silver, and the god is seated in his vehicle. The vehicle is a dog and holding the Trishul. The face of the idol is decorated in such a way that every visitor who comes through the door gets a glimpse of the idol.
No one correct knows when the temple was built. But each person tells the story based on his knowledge. There is no proof to prove his knowledge is right. So, a person believes that story which he like most. Each person believes in this god and also he believes in his powers. That’s the reason to come to the public this temple for making wishes. Based on old knowledge, the temple structure was built in the mid 17th century Anno Domini (A.D.).
When the Mughal ruler Aurangzeb ruled in this city. Then he did an attempt to destroy the temple of this god during his reign. It said that when he destroyed the Kashi Vishwanath temple. He destroyed all the temples at that time. But when he Kaal Bhairav went to break the temple. Then from somewhere come a bunch of dogs. The herd of dogs started biting the soldiers. The dogs were bitten, the soldiers instantly go crazy, and as soon as they got mad, they started biting their soldiers.
The king was frightened to see this and ran away leaving his soldiers to die there. After that, he never took the thought to destroy the temple. As we know that Baba Kaal Bhairav is the riding dog. It also said that Bhairav Ji’s army is dogs. That’s why there are no problems, their forces are ready to stand. It spread all areas that the Baba Bhairav army is a dog. His temple cannot be destroyed at any stage.
