History of Tulsi Manas Temple
Before we start to tell the history of this temple. We tell you about the name of the temple. We call Tusi Birla Manas Temple and Shri Satyanarayan Tulsi Manas Temple to this temple. It’s far from Varanasi Railway Junction (Cantt) to near about 10 km. It’s made up of White Marble. The temple design attracts o all tourists who come to this place. The world-famous epic Ramayan was written in this place. This epic was written in the Sanskrit language. And the world-famous poet Valmiki wrote the Ramayan. The Ramayan was written between 500 to 100 BC. The Sanskrit language is very difficult to understand for anyone. That’s why Goswami Tulsidas wrote the Ramayan in the Awadhi dialect (Hindi language) in the 16 Century (c. 1532 1623). This Awadhi version we call us Ramcharitmanas and the Ramcharitmanas means “Lake of the deeds of Rama”.
After that in 1964, the Thakur Das Sureka family constructed the place to the temple where Goswami Tulsidas wrote Ramcharitmanas. The Thakur Das Sureka family lives in the Bandhaghat, Howrah at West Bengal. This temple’s name was based on ‘TULSI DAS’ and he wrote the famous epic ‘RAMCHARITMANAS’. So, the temple is Tulsi Manas Mandir (Temple). This temple was fully constructed in white marble. In this temple, you will see verses and scenes of Ramcharitmanas over the wall. In the temple wall, you get the beautiful pictures of Mata Sita, Ram, Lakshman, and Hanuman. HH Dr. Sarvapalli Radha Krishnan had been inaugurated this temple.
